The project entails the construction of 2 new Magistrates Courts, an Equality Court and supporting accommodation in the rural town of Hankey. The design strives to reconcile the issues of making an institutional building less intimidating to the public whilst still maintaining necessary architectural language of this building type. A design feature is the shady internal courtyards to deal with the hot climate in Hankey - this helps to naturally circulate cool air in the building.
